NordVPN's refer-a-friend deal stacks free subscription time on top of whatever seasonal discount is already showing at checkout — typically three bonus months when you take a 1-year or 2-year plan, or one bonus month on a monthly plan. There's no separate promo code to type: the referral link tags the purchase, and the extra months are added to both your account and the referrer's as soon as payment clears. You must buy on NordVPN's website (not via Apple or Google in-app billing), and you need to be a new customer. Pairing a long-term plan with a live site-wide sale plus the referral months is usually the best total value; treat the free months as an extension of cover you already want for travel, public Wi-Fi or streaming access, not as a reason to ignore the headline price.
Step by step
How to redeem the NordVPN referral code
- 1Open the NordVPN referral link in a browser — avoid starting from the App Store or Google Play.
- 2Pick a plan; 1-year or 2-year plans unlock +3 free months, monthly unlocks +1.
- 3Complete checkout on nordvpn.com as a new customer.
- 4Bonus months are added automatically to your subscription once payment succeeds — no support ticket needed.
The small print
Key terms
- New NordVPN customers only; purchase must be made via the website, not App Store or Google Play billing.
- Referred customers get 3 free months on 1- or 2-year plans, or 1 free month on monthly plans.
- Referrers receive 3 free months per successful referral; rewards match the plan's included services.
- If the new customer refunds within NordVPN's 30-day window, referral rewards for both sides are cancelled.
Terms are a summary and can change — always confirm the current offer on NordVPN's own site before signing up.
Questions
NordVPN referral FAQs
- Is there a NordVPN referral code to enter?
- No text code. The unique referral link is what tracks the offer — start checkout from it and the free months apply automatically after purchase.
- Can I stack this with NordVPN's big percentage sales?
- Yes in practice: the site sale sets the price you pay, and the referral adds bonus months on top rather than replacing the percentage discount. Confirm the free months appear on your account after paying.
- Why doesn't buying in the iOS or Android app count?
- In-app subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google under different terms, so NordVPN's refer-a-friend rewards only apply to website purchases through a Nord Account.
